The Company has been operating on the market since 2000 and at the beginning was named AutoGuard & Insurance Sp. z o.o. The breakthrough in the Company’s history came when the Ministry of Home Affairs and Administration granted AutoGuard S.A. the licence to offer security services. The licence enables AutoGuard to operate ani-theft systems that use GPS technology. As a complementary activity AutoGuard signed contracts with the biggest insurance companies to run an insurance multiagency.

In year 2002 the Company introduced its products in Baltic states by starting cooperation with a local partner UAB „Asmens Sagrybinis” In the same year the Company was awarded with the prize „Polish Master of Alarm Technique” for the most effective ani-theft system.

2003 AutoGuard signed contracts with the three biggest GSM operators in Poland: Polkomtel, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa and Centertel. 2004 the Company received the quality certificate ISO 9001. Extending its offer AutoGuard introduced on the market a new product: AutoGuard S-2. AutoGuard S-2 operates in connection with AutoControl platform as a surveillance and management system for transportation fleets. For this application Business Center Club awarded the Company with the European Medal.

Following the development strategy AutoGuard S.A. signed 2006 two contracts with British operator MVNO and digital maps producer Navteq B.V. Agreement with MVNO enables AutoGuard to equip its appliances with new SIM cards that function on the territory of whole Europe thanks to the Operator’s digital communication. The new system improved the data transmission quality and reduced its cost. The agreement with Navteq B.V. regulated the use and sale of licence for digital maps that are the integral part of AutoGuard application.

In year 2007 a new AutoGuard platform GIS Server (Geographic Information System) was introduced The new platform as a part of AutoControl system is responsible for digital maps presentation.

The quality of products and services offered by AutoGuard was appreciated by the biggest polish economic newspaper „Puls Biznesu” which awarded the Company with its yearly prize - the Business Gazelle statuette.

2007 the Management Board decided to transform AutoGuard&Insurance Sp. z o.o. into stock company and changed the Company’s name into AutoGuard S.A.
